Many families, including Aboriginal families, have been affected by the recent floods in Brisbane and Ipswich. There are still many people needing personal and household items and furniture to replace what they lost. The Murri Ministry Team of the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane is coordinating help for Aboriginal and other families in need because of the flood or other reasons. CTIPP and other Indigenous organizations are assisting in this endeavour.
Needed - Non-perishable food items, kitchen utensils, single and double beds, mattresses, vouchers for goods or food, linen, toiletries, fridges and washing machines (no clothing) – as well as donations of money.
Also needed: people with vehicles to transport goods from the collection point to the recipients.
If you are able to donate any of these items or help with transport, please contact Murri Ministry on 3891 1931 or 0408 707 101, or email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
